Due to unforeseen circumstances the Charity Dreamgirls are unable to perform at the ‘Brassed Off’ event arranged by the Halifax Festival. Combined with reports that an English Defence League protest is scheduled on Saturday 9th and the potential risk this poses to the public, the Dreamgirls & Friends have taken the decision to postpone their appearance at the festival. Plans for a dedicated Charity Dreamgirls event are now in place for the Halifax Festival in 2012....

The Charity Dreamgirls took to the stage at Woolshops in Halifax to raise awareness for their 2011 Charity Partners. The performance was vibrant and had many a ‘Halifaxian’ dancing along to their favourite tunes from the 60s, 70s and 80s. The ‘Decades’ theme, used to celebrate the Dreamgirls & Friends 5th anniversary, was a real crowd winner and the sun shone strongly over the weekend!
