Breast Cancer Care

Breast Cancer Care provides information and support for everyone affected by breast cancer.
In 2007, Breast Cancer was a taboo illness, but was too important for the general public to avoid. The Charity Dreamgirls worked with the charity to spread the word about the illness in the hope of raising awareness for the services and support available – people didn’t have to suffer in silence.
Next Step Trust
The Next Step Trust is a charitable organisation providing day care facilities for young people with severe and multiple disabilities, living in Calderdale.
It is important for the general public to not ignore disability, particularly when it is right on their doorstep, this fantastic facility offers support to parents with disabled children, and give them an environment where they can feel comfortable.
Halifax Stroke Club

The Stroke Club provides social support to stroke survivors and their families. They have regular speakers and also go on outings.
Founder & Chairwoman of the Charity Dreamgirls, Kate Hardcastle, had personal experience with this branch of The Stroke Club, when a close family member suffered a stroke. Kate was so overwhelmed by the support offered to her grandparent, and her family, that she set up the Charity Dreamgirls to help raise awareness for their services.
2008
RSPCA Halifax & Huddersfield District Branch

The RSPCA is the leading UK animal welfare charity who specialise in rescue, animal welfare and the prevention of animal cruelty. The RSPCA Halifax & Huddersfield District Branch is the regional branch of a national charity, raising their own funds and awareness.
The Charity Dreamgirls are a group of animal lovers, and hearing that the RSPCA Halifax & Huddersfield Branch needed an extra push in awareness, the Dreamgirls worked with the charity in 2008.
Endometriosis UK
Endometriosis UK are the leading UK charity that supports the 2 million plus women living with endometriosis. They provide information, support and work to increase awareness of the condition.
As a sufferer of endometriosis founder & Chairwoman of the Charity Dreamgirls, Kate Hardcastle, Endometriosis UK is a charity close to Kate’s heart. Also a national speaker for the charity, Kate and the Dreamgirls worked with this charity to remove the taboo surrounding the illness.
2009
Alzheimer’s Society
Alzheimer’s Society is the leading UK care and research charity for people with the disease and other dementias, their families and carers.
Alzheimer’s and other dementias are diseases not readily understood in the UK, and many sufferers endure this lack of understanding on a daily basis. The Charity Dreamgirls worked with Alzheimer’s Society to help spread awareness, and most importantly, understanding to the general public.
Help for Heroes
Help for Heroes is a charity formed to help those who have been wounded in Britain’s current conflicts.
With wars and conflicts prevalent in news, particularly in the early 21st century, stories of those injured in Britain’s forces dominated the headlines. The Charity Dreamgirls & Friends wanted to raise awareness of a fantastic charity making a difference to those injured and who needed support and help.
Home Start
Home Start is the UK’s leading family support charity. Across the country thousands of volunteers offer friendship and practical help to families with at least one child, overall the charity supports almost 73000 vulnerable children across the UK.
The Charity Dreamgirls are acutely aware that parents can be in difficult situations and may need support at a point in their lives, Home Start provides this and yet is relatively unknown in the North. We worked to raise awareness for this fantastic, and crucial, organisation.
2010
Retail Trust
The Retail Trust is the only charity that looks after the needs of all 3 million people working in and retired from retail.
The Retail Trust is quite well known in the South, but in the North, the organisation has needed assistance to spread the word of the fantastic services they provide. The Charity Dreamgirls felt a ‘link’ with the charity – having performed in shopping centres across the North – and selected them as a charity partner in 2010.
Leonard Cheshire Disability
Leonard Cheshire Disability campaigns for change and provides innovative services that give disabled people the opportunity to live life their way.
The Charity Dreamgirls joined Leonard Cheshire Disability with their campaign to put the ‘ability’ back into ‘disability’ – diminishing the stereotyping that exists within the general public around disability.
